Welcome to WorksOnWork

WorksOnWorks is a database of citations to materials related to the field of industrial relations, including books, journal articles, working papers, proceedings, and web sites. WorksOnWork currently indexes over 70,000 items found in the Georgianna E. Herman Reference Room collection. Information may be accessed via author, title, keyword, or by unique subject headings developed by the Reference Room staff. Most of the entries in WorksOnWork have been added to our collection since 1985. Retrospective cataloging of materials predating 1985 is currently in progress.

The Reference Room is open to the public. For those patrons who are unable to make an in-person visit to conduct research, the University of Minnesota, fee-based, ESTIS document delivery service is available to photocopy and send materials to you.

The Reference Room collection supports the Industrial Relations Center academic and outreach programs:

The full-time MA program prepares individuals for professional careers in human resource management and industrial relations.
